<Discussion> -What we talked together in our group.
+Have you ever seen the goods of the Wedgewood? What do you think of them?
Yes I have. I'm familiar with the products of the wedgewood. Of course, I saw tea cups of the company. And also I have the leaf tea and tea packs that are packed in a wildberry's decoration of the wedgewood. The decoration is very famous. And I loved it because it looked sweets. Also, I could be happy since I thought it was the high sence goods. But after the bankruptcy, we can't get such feeling. Because the brand name has been badly damaged, it won't recover as the high sence stuffs.
+ Do you know someone who makes special collection?
Yes, I know. You can find various kinds of collectors in Japan. As you know, there are the people called "Otaku" in our country. For instance, there are many men who love and gather the train items like plates of the train or the railroad tie. And also, there are a lot of men who assemble the parts of machines.
+Talk about your weekend. What did you do? How was it?
I checked out " the batllers cafe" with my friends. It is very interesting experience. I didn't have a good image to such kinds of place, but it chaged. Now I think it a good place to give chance to comunicate each other and learn cultural differences between Japan and other countries.
Batllers are all foreigners from various countries and they only speak English. They talk English in their own pace, and some are very fast. If you can't understand what the batller says, they lend you an electric dictionary to look it out. Battlers are willing to make English conversation with customers. They ask us our hobby, favorite music and jobs and so on.
I hear that many of them are working at the junior high school or elementary school as an English teacher and have great interests in the cultures of Japan. I met a man from the republic of hungary. He had been doning Judo in his countries for years and came to Japan. And he found that the clerks are very polite and the services of the shop or restaurants are in high level in Japan. That is totally different in his nation. He thinks the spirit of "Omotenashi" is one of the cultural charactors, and he wants to learn it in the cafe as a batllers.
On the other hand, the Japanese custmers have seldome opportunities to talk people from other nation. And the dishes of the cafe are delicious. It is like a casual italian restaurant. The price is not so high and it tastes good.
